MISSION TO THE MOONPHASE - FULL MOON
Referencing the full moon, this model showcased an all-white color scheme. It featured a Bioceramic case, crown, and pushers, along with a VELCRO® strap. The chronograph's seconds hand, subdial hands, and tachymeter-scaled bezel were in black, while the subdials and bezel background remained white. This model stood out with its moon phase function, arguably the most poetic of all watch complications. Snoopy, NASA’s safety ambassador since the 1960s, was depicted lying on the moon on the moon phase disc, which rotated in the subdial set at 2 o’clock. Under UV light, a hidden quote from a Snoopy comic strip nestled amidst crescent moons and stars was revealed on the unique subdial. All dials carried the OMEGA X Swatch branding, the iconic Speedmaster logo, and the MoonSwatch logo. Common features included a box-shaped biosourced glass construction, an etched "S" in the center of the glass referencing the Swatch logo, a fine circular pattern on the dial's outer ring, recessed subdials, sharp and smooth lugs construction, the iconic “dot over 90” detail on the tachymeter-scaled Bioceramic bezel, and the unique Bioceramic feel. The indexes, hour and minute hands, and the tip of the chronograph seconds hand sported Grade A Super-LumiNova® for a perfect glow in the dark.

Aptly named “NEW MOON,” this model presented an elegant all-black color scheme. It also featured a Bioceramic case, crown, and pushers, along with a VELCRO® strap. The chronograph's seconds hand, subdial hands, and tachymeter-scaled bezel were in white, while the subdials and bezel background remained black. This model distinguished itself with its black moon phase function, echoing the poetic nature of its counterpart. Once again, Snoopy was featured lying on the moon on the moon phase disc, rotating in the subdial set at 2 o’clock. Under UV light, the same hidden quote from a Snoopy comic strip was revealed. All dials carried the same OMEGA X Swatch branding and design features as the full moon model, including the biosourced glass construction and Super-LumiNova® components for visibility in the dark.

The Silver Snoopy Award, the most prestigious honor awarded by the United States space agency, recognizes outstanding achievements in human flight safety and mission success. OMEGA received this award in 1970 for its crucial role in space exploration, particularly for its contribution to the safe return of the Apollo 13 crew. In a playful tribute, Snoopy is depicted catching some zz's on the moon phase disc of these models.
