Reporting to: Executive/ Manager  - Retail Operations

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for  all aspects of store  operations
Meeting sales targets for the shop and brands
Networking with prospective customers for incremental business
Creating & maintaining  customers relationships, high standards in customer service & effectively  handling customer complaints 

Ensuring high standards of visual merchandising, store presentation and upkeep
Managing stocks in the location and minimizing loss of inventory  
Maintaining awareness of market trends,  monitoring local competitors and customer patterns 
Managing and motivating  the sales team to ensure increased sales & efficiency
Ensuring team are well presented and in full uniform
Communicating and upholding all company policies, rules and procedures
Ensuring proper cash management at the store
Preparing monthly reports, as required by the management

Educational Qualifications & Experience

• Dispensing and Selling Eye Glasses, Contact Lenses and Sunglasses
• Checking glasses and contact lenses for accuracy and comfort
• Advising customers on eye wear options
• Achieving sales targets with regard to selling eyeglasses, sunglasses, contact lenses and other accessories
• Supporting sales staff in their day to day transactions
• Performing in  Shop  inventory and ordering stocks
• Maintaining general cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Liaison with sales representatives from eye care product suppliers

Educational Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor degree in Optometry or 3 year Diploma in Optometry 
• GHA,MOH/DOH license
• 4 to 6 years as practicing optometrist, preferably in a retailing environment
• Good knowledge of lenses & other eyewear products
• Well versed with vision disorders
• Aware of the latest equipment and techniques for vision correction
• Excellent communication & Good selling skills
